This piece is a precise 1:1 cast of a genuine 13th-century stirrup ring. Named for its distinct shape, this design was the height of fashion in Medieval Britain. These rings were favoured by the burgeoning merchant classes and the nobility alike, often worn as a symbol of status.

The original artifact shows the characteristic “rising” bezel, designed to elevate the gemstone and allow light to pass through. By casting directly from the found piece, we have preserved the slight asymmetrical charm and the authentic texture of the hand-worked metal that has survived centuries beneath the earth.
